You haven't heard of John Green??

Who doesn't love a good book, whether your'e on holiday and by the pool or getting ready to go to bed there's nothing better than getting indulged into a new book! I don't mean to be a typical girl here, but here are some of my favourite books of John Green's which I've read within the past 6 months and LOVED!

1. Looking for Alaska- John Green

For me, this is one of my favourites of John green's books, I'm not sure why but this is definitely a book I can read over and over and not get bored, the emotion involved is so strong, it makes you laugh, cry and smile, Its about a boy who moves to a boarding school and he meets new friends, (one called Alaska, obviously) and I'm not going to ruin the rest for you! The book is set in two stages; Before and After. John green is New York Times' best seller and this book is number 3 (behind the fault in our stars) in the NY times book charts. When buying this I really didn't expect it to be anything special, because most authors release one reaalllly good book (the fault in our stars) and then the rest are average, but this for me is better than the fault in our stars (don't judge me till you've read it!!!) and I will warn you it's very sad but very addictive!

Rating: ★★★★

2. The Fault in our Stars- John Green
This was the first book I read of John Green's and I really loved it! Normally I don't read books or watch films about cancer cause I hate crying at them and they make me ridiculously sad but this book isn't just about 2 people who have cancer, it makes you laugh with its dry humour, it makes you fall in love with Augustus Waters and cry (a lot), again I find that this book is one that I'm able to read over and over and not get sick of it, and each time I read it I view it differently and pick up on more things. The film adaptation to this book recently came out in cinemas in the UK and has been highly rated, As is the book which is number 1 on the NY times young adult book charts list. If you haven't read it I recommend this highly and if you haven't read this do not go and see the film!! Books should always be read before the film is watched, especially this one as the book is deeper than the film and involves more characters and scenes which are important to capturing the characters real personalities.

3. Paper Towns- John Green
This is another one of John Green's books which I literally couldn't put down, I remember staying up till 4 am one night when I was on holiday trying to finish it! The book isn't just about romance, which is what I like, its also about friendships, Relationships with parents of which a lot of people can relate too, With this book I also found that this book really connects to the reader and draws them in from the very first few pages, the meaning behind the book is really strong which is another thing I like about this book specifically, unlike the other two I mentioned it has a deeper message. This book is also on the NY times young adults charts as number 4 and is being made into a film but we haven't been told when. I seriously recommend this book as its one of my favourites of John green (above the fault in our stars :o)!!
